Lisboa 2013 - Sol e Pesca

Last week Shawn and I went to Lisbon. It was amazing and I must confess a lot of what was on our “To-do List” came from the Lisbon episode of No Reservations. It was a good idea too because everything we ate was amazing and I think we got we to see and experience a lot of very cool things we wouldn’t have otherwise.

But this place, Sol e Pesca, was by far the coolest spot we visited. A small bar that looks like a bait shop serving tinned fish. I was in love, so much we went two nights in a row to grab drinks and snack. 

This trip made me truly remember how much I enjoy traveling to new places and that I really want to be able to write about the experiences and share them. So here is a little taste of that. Maybe Shawn and I can start a zine about places, ha.

So I’m finally feeling better after being sick for two weeks. Nothing beats a chest cold and insane sinus infection. But I was able to lose 5lbs just from being sick. That’s a cool diet I guess. 

After going back and forth on whether or not I thought I would have time to finish Shawn and I’s cosplays for PAX this weekend I have decided to just power through it and get them done for Saturday. The list of little things I need to do plus the massive amounts of sewing and cutting I still need to do for Shawn’s in daunting but I was able to get a lot done last night and even though I’ll be missing Drafts&Drafts tonight I feel like I can finish these suckers up. 

I’m posting about it on the internet so I feel bad if I don;t actually finish/give up.

Minus feeling like shit due to a 3 day bender I don’t think I’ve been this excited for plans in a long time.

Tonight is my little sister’s 18th birthday and she finds out what colleges she got into, etc today so that’s a thing. Wednesday we having a work dinner at one of my favorite French bistros in Boston. This Saturday I am going to wrestling with Shawn and his brothers for their birthdays and in two weeks we are going to PAX East.

Oh and I won my first FNM this Friday, going 3-0 drafting the sweetest Gruul deck this side of Wizards. After making it to the final round so many times it was nice to destroy all night and walk away with a foil Farseek. 

OH and bigger OH - Shawn and I planned a super last minute, spur of the moment trip to Portugal in April. In a little over one month I will be flying to Lisbon. I can not wait. All I want to do is tell everyone about it and geek out about all the seafood I get to eat.

As long as we don’t end up in a “hostel” situation I think this will be the coolest trip to date and if that’d the case, the rest of the year can suck and I wouldn’t mind because these first few months have been incredible.
